Delivery. Work. Projects.

You'll work on our massive Technology Services project. We're creating a workplace and deploying tools and tech across multiple sites with the aim of creating a world class environment for 150,000 DWP colleagues and agents. We're helping them deliver better support and services to the people who use DWP services.

You'll provide specialist technical support and assistance to a portfolio of 10 Tech Services projects ensuring delivery of non-functional requirements and to continual service improvement.

There will be a requirement to join an "on-call" rota providing night cover 18:00-08:00 with occasional shifts 08:00-18:00 Saturday or Sunday. The cover is shared around the team and would normally equate to one shift per week.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

• Experience of network security products and countermeasure techniques, including firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPN's), encryption and authentication techniques.
• Knowledge in TCP/IP routing and switching, including routing protocols BGP and OSPF.
• Knowledge in common network services, including Directory Name Service (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Network Time Protocol (NTP), and load-balancing techniques.
• Knowledge of Cisco data-centre, SD-WAN, LAN and NAC products/technologies, including Cisco CCNP/CCDP certification or equivalent experience/skills.
• Knowledge of next generation firewalls/application firewalls.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
