The Risk & Control Manager will support the Team Head, Risk and Control (Operations) to provide efficient and effective risk and control governance and management for operations-related areas for the Global Operations and Technology Office.


  • Manage the implementation of operational risk and compliance initiatives and policies.
  • Manage the regular risk assessment and reporting for Operations through coordinating and facilitating the self-assessment (e.g. RRSA (Regulatory Requirement Self-Assessment), RCSA (Risk & Control Self-Assessment)) activities and attestations as well as control testing.
  • Work with Operations team for the reporting of regulatory compliance breaches and operational risk incidents.
  • Perform audit management activities including coordinating/conducting health checks and coordinating with the audit team during and post audit work of Operations team under review.
  • Conduct special reviews/risk assessments and work with the Operations units to resolve the issues raised.
  • Support the management of outsourcing and insourcing of Operations units as requested.
  • Monitor Operations performance in risk and compliance management (through tracking of resolution of issues arising from regulatory compliance breaches, operational risk incidents as well as special reviews/audits/inspections) including highlighting common issues and escalating key risk issues to HODs and/or Head of Operations and/or Global Head of Operations and Technology for resolution.
  • Provide support and training to build risk awareness within the Operations units.
  • Provide advice on risk and control matters to HODs and their Operations teams.

  • University Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years working experience with at least 6 years in risk & control or audit function in a banking environment.
  • Able to handle a varied portfolio of initiatives independently.
  • Ability to identify risks and assess adequacy of controls, as well as being able to make suitable recommendations for control enhancements are key requirements for this role.
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills.
  • Professional certifications like CIA, CRISC, CRMA will be advantageous.
