Mysteel Global and Mysteel Commodity Services are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to oversee the compliance function in Singapore for the Mysteel Group. This is a newly created role and comes at an exciting time in Mysteel’s growth as we become the first commodity business in China to gain IOSCO assurance and through Mysteel Commodity Services operate one of the top broking firms for bulk commodities. The candidate should be self-motivated, proficient in English and Mandarin, and experienced in IOSCO compliance for benchmarks at a price reporting agency. The individual must also be familiar with the financial regulators in Singapore.

This is an exciting opportunity to build on the success of Mysteel Global and Mysteel Commodity Services and drive the compliance function with opportunity for growth across different commodities and countries.


  • Assist with and maintain the documentation and processes for IOSCO and BMR (EU)
  • Lead internal departments through the process, policy application and implementation of IOSCO compliance
  • Conduct regular internal audits of IOSCO compliance, working with the indices business to continuously improve systems and processes and advance automation and reporting
  • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and auditors, plus keep up to date and advise the business on regulatory changes
  • Lead the development of, and implement business continuity tests, disaster recovery plans and establish and maintain risk registers
  • Lead formal complaint investigations and manage the Complaints mailbox
  • Provide compliance training across the business
  • Create broker handbooks, and advise brokers on best fit and proper practices in their markets
  • Liaise with regulators in both Singapore and UK to ensure the broking business is fully compliant with any new regulations announced and ensuring our licenses are in order
  • Review internal trade give up and trading systems to ensure they fall within the compliance framework
  • Maintain day to day oversight on any compliance matters that may arise in the broking business
  • Advise the Mysteel management team with regards to significant compliance issues related to Mysteel and identify resources required for developing and maintaining an effective compliance program for Mysteel


  • Degree qualified, preferably in Law
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English essential
  • Deep understanding of IOSCO and European Benchmark Regulation at a price reporting agency
  • Understanding of financial markets and regulators
  • Highly developed communication skills with ability to build relationships across the organisation at all levels
  • Experience developing and leading internal audits
  • 7-10 years’ prior experience in similar roles as a minimum
