Head of Group Programme Management Office (Director)

1. Lead and oversee implementation of a portfolio of strategic projects and play an influential role over project outcomes, working closely key project stakeholders including project sponsors and directors.

2. Lead initiation and mobilisation of key strategic projects, including overseeing the development of robust project objectives, timelines, costs and resources, as well as appropriate Key Performance Indicators to motivate and reward project teams.

3. Provide strategic guidance on the implementation of key strategic projects for the various businesses, enablers and countries within CIMB Group, ensuring that these projects meet their strategic intent and goals.

4. Manage interdependencies and risks, in particular for multi-functional and multi-geographic initiatives, and drive resolution of key project issues, escalating these risks and issues to the GCEO and/or Board EXCO for guidance and decision where necessary.

5. Oversee overall monitoring and tracking of project completion and value realisation for strategic projects.

6. Leverage on contacts within and outside of the organisation to expedite implementation of strategic projects.

7. Drive execution and follow through of decisions made at Board EXCO.

8. Institutionalise rigour and discipline in project implementation across CIMB Group, focusing on key strategic projects.

9. Any other duties or responsibilities deemed as necessary from time to time to meet the needs of the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in a relevant field, preferably with ≥ 2 years in a project management role.
  • At least 3 years of prior leadership experience in a senior management role.

Technical/Functional skills

  • Understand the Group's business model and strategic objectives.
  • Good knowledge of banking practices, products and regulatory environment.
  • Proven business leadership and acumen with outstanding reputation and business network.

Personal skills (Soft Competencies [Core/Leadership])

  • Ability to manage relationships across different entities and regions (e.g. divisions, departments, etc.)
  • Build strong culture of service excellence and growth opportunities for the organisational unit to attract and retain top talents.
  • Foster an environment that values, supports and rewards collaborative efforts and provide high-level support as required (e.g. recognition, resources).
