Job Purpose

The Cluster Finance Director (FD) will strategically manage and coordinate a Cluster of countries from a financial perspective, by identifying and demonstrating the drivers for value creation to stakeholders, as well as business partnering with them to enhance performance and efficiencies within the cluster.

S/he will also be accountable for assuring that financial systems and work processes in place support achieving business goals and are compliant with company standards as well as regulatory requirements.

Cluster FD will be a member of the Cluster Management Team. S/he will have a dual reporting line to the Regional Chief Finance Officer and the Cluster Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for internal finance of the cluster, including accurate and complete accounting records and systems of internal control, management information, budgeting and forecasting and statutory accounts
  • Leading the Internal Finance team and making sure it is well connected to all other parts of the organisation
  • Providing the Cluster MD with relevant and timely financial information and analysis
  • Responsibility for reporting compliance
  • Championing specific regional projects
  • Co-driving cluster strategy and performance
  • Developing the team and the cluster Finance function
  • Aligning and deploying financial systems and work processes to assure achieving business objectives
  • Ensuring adequate financial reporting and tax accounting for internal and external reporting purposes
  • Optimisation of cash and debtors processes
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality
  • Responsibility for a set of expert finance and non-finance roles, e.g. tax compliance in the organisation; cash flow forecasting and management; ensuring internal control environment; local involvement in M&A activities; protecting company assets, intellectual property, ethical and financial integrity and overseeing procurement activities

Key Requirements
  • Strong Internal Finance professional with 10+ years of relevant experience in multinational companies
  • Extensive experience of working in regional/cluster capacity
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at senior level
  • Experience in working in a fast -paced business environment
  • Experience in managing teams both directly and indirectly
  • Extensive market knowledge and ability to share best practices
  • Thorough experience in business planning, strategic development, accounting and controlling and other Internal Finance areas
  • SME in areas of Accounting, Business Control, Tax, Treasury, Business Risk & Audit and M&A
  • Expertise in Legal and Procurement
  • Fluency in English
