The Role

M&G Prudential currently has a very successful fund distribution business in Italy. Early in 2019 M&G Prudential wants to add PruFund to its range in the Italian market. Initially PruFund would only be available via third party insurance companies but the intention is to offer a Prudential insurance policy in the Italian market in time.

Currently M&G Prudential has little in house expertise on the Italian life assurance market. We are creating this role to address this gap. The successful candidate will principally provide support to M&G in Italy in their interaction with potential distribution partners, as well as acting as a technical support function to PIA & PAC with regard to operating in the Italian life assurance market.

You will be the first port of call to M&G Italy on matters Insurance and PIA & PAC.

Purpose Statements

  • To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in Prudential UK's operational risk.
  • To Provide technical support to PAC and PIA on Italian life assurance matters.
  • To Provide support to the M&G distribution team in Italy supporting their distribution activities into Italian insurers.
  • To Deliver external training and marketing support in the Italian market.

Knowledge Required

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the rules, regulations, practices etc. in the Italian insurance market.
  • Detailed knowledge of the landscape of the Italian insurance market.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of M&G Prudential's PruFund and insurance offering in the Italian market.
  • Detailed knowledge of the distribution landscape and practices in the Italian market.

Experience Required

  • A senior role in the proposition / technical side of an Italian insurance company.
  • Experience delivering external training / promotional activity.
  • Experience interacting with senior internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate local Italian insurance or technical qualification.
