Exciting opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager with a leading insurance provider based in the heart of Dublin

As the Infrastructure Project Manager, you shall be tasked with the management of tech/infrastructure type projects from cradle to grave, taking on full responsibility from initiation to delivery. Types of projects will include platform upgrades, software patching, security, servers, networks, telecoms and operating systems.

Some Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Project Manager

  • Take complete ownership of the project roadmaps
  • Create new roadmaps where required for infrastructure and tech platforms to ensure production stability
  • Ensure information security integrity is included in the appreciate roadmaps
  • Lead technical delivery for all infrastructure projects
  • Ensure all projects are managed in conjunction with project controls and frameworks
  • Utilise project management methodologies to mobilise technical projects and to ensure budgetary compliance coupled with other outputs such as quality, timeframes are all meeting business expectations
  • Work with the appropriate SME’s to agree the design of software and hardware infrastructure solutions
  • Work with enterprise architects to identify and endorse industry best practices in IT infrastructure
  • Ensure the relevant architecture standards and practices are captured and apply such to verify capabilities for new systems and upgrades
  • Communicate effectively to key stakeholders on project status
  • Manage project resources
  • Work with key business and technical stakeholders to define new infrastructure needs to support the business
  • Manage and take ownership of full project lifecycle

 

Experience required of the Infrastructure Project Manager

  • 7-10 years project management experience
  • Must have experience managing large enterprise infrastructure type projects
  • Must have a board understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Must have good knowledge of infrastructure technologies coupled with full project lifecycle experience
  • Ideally you will have experience within financial services or insurance
  • Must have experience in managing third party vendors and offshore resources
  • Strong communication skills are a must
  • A hands-on delivery approach
  • Experience within an Agile environment
  • Ideally have a project management qualification (PMP/Prince2)
