Finance Technology within the Corporate & Funding Technology (CFT) division provides innovative solutions for regulatory and financial reporting, general ledger, profit & loss calculations, securities bookkeeping, budgeting & forecasting, and tax filing. The group leverages a state-of-the-art multi-terabyte financial data warehouse as one of its main assets to service the Firm's Finance division. The ISG & GWM Product Control Technology department of Finance Technology is providing services for Morgan Stanley's Global Product Controllers.
The candidate's responsibilities will include participation in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirement and feasibility analyses, design, development, testing, deployment and production support. In doing so, the candidate will be expected to liaise with other developers, business analysts, operational, support and quality assurance staff around the globe on a daily basis. As a technical lead the responsibilities will also include the management and oversight of the local team and their projects.
- Java (at least 3 years of work experience)
- Practical knowledge of databases, including data modelling and SQL
- Hands-on experience in a Linux environment and writing shell scripts therein
- Experience in mentoring/managing other developers
- Experience in using Spring framework
- Experience in a higher level scripting language, e.g. Perl/Python
- Experience in working with huge datasets and distributed processing
- Experience with Spark
- Experience in managing development team
