We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior General Insurance and Employee Benefits Operations Manager.

Principal responsibilities
  • Delivery of Flagship project Employee Benefits Insurance Products and build up Operations Team to support day to day operational activities, like scheme setup, policy issuance, administration, customer servicing
  • Design a strategy to deliver operational excellence and customer centric services to both General Insurance and Employee Benefits Insurance
  • Oversight and control management of outsourced relationship and partnerships, including Third Party Administration, Post Eagles ORSO scheme, General Insurance, to support business growth
  • Develop and communicate key performance indicators to enable senior management to monitor progress in all key operational aspects of General Insurance and Employee Benefits Insurance
  • Support underwriting, claims, case managers, transformation and other internal teams in new business, client services and complaints management
  • Meet customers' and distributors' needs and meet the strategic needs of the business by achieving operational excellence for all activities within General Insurance and Employee Benefits operations
  • Management of internal IGSAs or PLAs and external Third Party Administration which are linked to HK Insurance operational performance activities.
  • Assessment of business impacts from service problems which are communicated, understood and actions progressed to prevent reoccurrence
  • Monitoring, reporting and acting on MI or Dashboards related to operational performance
  • Ensure the team can adapt to potential market needs, structural industry changes and plan ahead to maintain the competitive edge of the company
  • Ensure optimal cost effective and efficient operational process to increase shareholder returns

  • Educated to degree level in Business Administration, Operations, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Experience of Operations or IT management.
  • Experience of managing Service Quality, Business Control and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Ability to form effective working relationships and influence at a senior management level in HSBC and third party organisations.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills to understand and use metrics to draw conclusions and drive management action.
  • Capability to understand and interpret complex business requirements.
  • Ability to budget, track and control project activity.
  • Knowledge of the insurance business and regulatory environment.
