We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Operations Officer, Main Treasury.

Principal responsibilities

  • To supervise and give guidance to all counter staff in matters relating to handling of Hong Kong and Renminbi bulk cash deposits and withdrawal services, foreign currencies transactions, Automated Teller Machine deposits and Counter Service Officer training attachment on cash handling skills which including counterfeit note detection.
  • To place adequate control to section operations and to approve Management Information System pay in and payout transactions after being authorized by Main Treasury Management.
  • To plan daily resources of the section to meet tight cutoff times and allocate and adjust manpower resources to meet uneven work volume, and manage part time staff administrative work.
  • To oversee staff development by providing training and coaching for subordinates.
  • To check validation of all transactions posted to the Bank Workstation.
  • To handle cash discrepancy cases and customer enquiries.
  • To balance Hong Kong and Renminbi daily cash in hand of the department.
  • To perform System upgrade.


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge on Bank Workstation and Management Information System operations
  • Familiar with resource planning
  • Good supervisory and interpersonal skills
  • The position will be based in the HSBC Kowloon Bay office. Shift duty, and working on Saturdays would be required
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting.
