Take on a critical and diverse role that will see you work across a range of APRA related responsibilities as well as regularly preparing senior stakeholders for their dealings with APRA.

As a Senior Analyst in the Prudential & Regulatory Affairs team in Prudential Capital & Markets, you will work with a wide range of stakeholders across Macquarie's senior management, business and support groups to help Macquarie meet its obligations to the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority ("APRA").

This is a great opportunity to develop deep expertise in banking regulation and compliance with prudential rules, with fantastic exposure to a diverse range of business and support groups. In this diverse role, you will be responsible for preparing senior management and directors for key meetings with APRA, providing timely and accurate advice on APRA's requirements and expectations to Macquarie's staff and businesses, and reviewing new business, product and transaction proposals across Macquarie for compliance with prudential standards. Your ability to pick up regulations quickly and overlay these with business propositions will prove critical to success. You will have opportunities to influence and participate in strategic planning .

You are intellectually curious, a critical and independent thinker who enjoys taking responsibility for complex and challenging tasks, can conceptualise abstract ideas and takes pride in getting the details right while remaining aware of the bigger picture.

You will have tertiary qualifications in one or more of finance, economics, accounting, law or public policy, coupled with strong relationship management skills and an ability to engage with a broad cross-section of individuals. You will have previous experience in a credit or operational risk, regulatory compliance, treasury, legal (including law firm) or finance role. Alternatively, you may have worked in a front office role at a financial institution or exchange with exposure to the prudential regulation of banks, and you are interested in enhancing your experience and skill set in a regulator relationship management role.
