We Offer

  • You an exciting role as Environment Engineer within the Compliance business domain to work on "BIG Data Platform" available to compliance employees working on the Wealth Management business segment (EMEA, APAC, and CH)
  • Strategic planning of the Environment team book of work, and working with application developers and IT operations to support customer-specific production and non-production environments
  • Lead the provision of global development, UAT and PROD environments for both internal clients (developers, QA team) and external clients (other systems that hook-up to department resources)
  • Management of critical blocking issues within the team and wider department, and responsible for preventing re-occurring incidents
  • Define processes for access rights for specific systems
  • Improve monitoring of systems and hardware in order to minimize future incidents
  • Provision of BAU support for development and test teams
  • You will be responsible for running a project book of work. Projects range from adoption of new technologies to leading DR tests and patching cycles
  • You will handle the code release of components from Development through UAT to Production
  • Responsibility, in conjunction with project managers, to lead the release of components/configuration changes from UAT to Production
  • Liaise with infrastructure teams where required - across Compute, Storage, Database and Web platforms
  • You work closely with Change Management and Quality Assurance functions on production release cycle, ensuring environments are available and correctly configured for testing
  • Work on process automation to improve the efficiency of both environment management and release management process
  • You will be able to create and maintain documentation on the environment processes
  • This position offers you growth opportunities both in terms of technical skills, but also in terms of experience working within a business area (Compliance) which is becoming one of the most critical within Investment Banks.

You Offer
  • Experience in setting up Big Data stack and platform on Linux platform
  • You have knowledge in Installation, Sizing, configuration, supporting, expanding and leading the Hadoop Platforms using Apache or Cloudera (CDH4, CDH5) Hadoop distributions
  • You will install and configure Hadoop Framework ecosystem services like: HDFS, YARN, Pig, Hive or Impala, Hbase, sqoop, zookeeper, Oozie, flume, Hue
  • Required UNIX Admin skills to setup the cloudera environments / cluster and support the environments
  • You have experience in setting up any BigData analytical tools is an added advantage (Palantir / Anaconda Python / scikit-learn / SQLite / PySpark)
  • You are able to communicate and co-ordinate with various core teams (Oracle, UNIX, Windows, Network, IT Risk, Business) in Credit Suisse
  • Required basic Oracle skills (basic Admin) to work with DBAs for setting up the environments would be an advantage
  • Experience in developing applications in UNIX/Perl/Java/Scala/Python or other scripting language is beneficial
  • Experience with configuration management systems like Puppet/SaltStack is a big plus
  • SSL /TLS / HPPTS / FTPS / Control-M experience is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of the Credit Suisse environment and processes as strong benefit
  • Security: authentication through Kerberos (Active Directory / LDAP)/ data-at-rest encryption, channel
  • encryption, role based authorizations through Sentry is a plus
  • Cloudera / System admin certificate would be an additional advantage
